hello and welcome back to you in thekitchen with Matt I am your host Matt
Taylor today I'm going to show you howto make a cake and an air fryer oh yeah
and I am using my Sakura air fryer downbelow I'll put a link where you can find
this air fryer if you like now this isroute this process is really easy to do
if I can do it you can do it let's getstarted first we need our cake batter
and I'm just using a cake mix a yellowcake mix just for the ease of this video
I have several other videos on cakesfrom scratch here on my channel make
sure to check those out and you can useany one of those cakes if you like and
now we're gonna add 1 cup of water 1/2cup of oil 3 eggs mix it up
give theside that good scrape okay cake batter
is done fantastic set this aside I havea cake pan here and this came in my
airfryer accessory kit and it's a itfits perfectly inside of the air fryer
and what I did is I did I used someshortening and went around the sides and
on the bottom and then put some flour inthere and just tapped it all around and
got that ready to go and then also Ihave a piece of parchment paper this
came in that kit as well I'm gonna justput that on the bottom there I want to
be very careful I don't want my cake tojust stick at all and then we'll take
our cake batter pour it in I'm gonnafill this about halfway full and I have
a little bit left over and I can justmake a cupcake or two with that perfect
and now I have a cake strip that I havebeen soaking
and I'm just gonna bring it out a littlebit and then what this is gonna do is
this is gonna help it take bake a littlemore even and I don't always use these
but it's a good thing it's a good thingto use them especially if you want to
try to prevent the dome on top sometimesyou'll get the dome regardless but this
helps the sides to bake a little moreeven so you just put it right on there
just like that and now it's ready to goin the airfryer we're gonna turn the air
fryer on we'll set the temp to about 350and I'm going to turn it on to about 20
minutes and then we're gonna just let itheat up for about three minutes and then
we'll put the cake in and after threeminutes it only takes three minutes to
preheat this air fryer just pull it outtake our cake drop it in there and put
it back inand we'll let it go for 15 minutes and
then we'll check it with a toothpick ohright the timer went off let's go ahead
and check it outlooking pretty good and it's a little
bit there's a little bit of liquid onthere so it's not quite done so back in
we go and then I'm gonna set it forabout five more minutes all right
there was the timer look at itlooking good smells really good oh there
we go it looks pretty good awesomenow I'll grab this little lobster claw
and I have made out of siliconespecifically for this purpose and grab
it I'll put it on my hot mat there nowI'll let it cool in the pan for about 10
minutes and then I'll take it out of thepan and let it cool completely on a wire
rack oh right it's been about 10 minutesI want to just take the cake out and
came right out look at thathow nice it looks on the edges it's not
over baked at all parchment paper ohthat's awesome
put it down just like that and we willlet it cool the rest of the way and then
we can decorate it however we wantoh right there we go I got my cake on
there it's nice and cool I'm not gonnaget too fancy with this I'm just gonna
do some frosting on the top this is someleftover buttercream frosting homemade
buttercream frosting I have a video onhow you can make your own buttercream
frosting and I'll put a link that whereyou can get it hey excellent I'm gonna
